Job vacancy: Skipper wanted for sailing clipper Noordvaarder season 2026 season

📍 Harlingen | Sailing area: Wadden Sea & IJsselmeer | April – October | Live aboard possible

We are looking for a dedicated and capable skipper for the 2026 sailing season aboard the traditional Dutch clipper De Noordvaarder. This well-maintained and comfortable vessel is equipped for multi-day sailing trips with groups of up to 26 guests. Our voyages are varied and include school groups, families, friends, and business trips.

Home port: Harlingen (Zuiderhaven)
Sailing area: Wadden Sea & IJsselmeer
Capacity: 26 guests
Voyages: Multi-day group trips
Condition: Meets all safety and inspection standards; excellent technical condition

Who we’re looking for

A skipper with experience on similar (sailing) charter vessels
Someone who can operate independently and enjoys working with both guests and crew
You have demonstrable knowledge of ship maintenance, rigging, and engine systems, and can manage this carefully throughout the season
Available from April to October 2026 (exact dates negotiable)
In possession of the required certifications
