Sailing area the Wadden Sea

The Wadden Sea is a unique nature reserve and enjoys the protected status of World Heritage. The sea is a recognized biological ecosystem that you will only find on the Dutch-German-Danish North Sea coast. Ebb and flow alternate every six hours. At low tide, large parts of the Wadden are dry out every day, which turns the Waddenzee into a landscape of sandbanks and an extensive system of channels formed by wind and water. This variety of landscapes makes the Wadden Sea a unique habitat for more than 10,000 often rare plant and animal species, which produces an exceptionally large food wealth. In addition, it is an indispensable stopover for millions of birds during their migration. With the wind in our sails, we roam the shallow water, past sandbanks where seals are located and through narrow channels towards the Wadden Islands. With our shallow draft (1.20m) we can explore all corners and dry out in the most beautiful places.

Sailing area the IJsselmeer

Around the IJsselmeer are beautiful old Dutch villages and towns. Together they form one of the most beautiful and authentic parts of the Netherlands. Experience the atmosphere of the traditional fishing villages of Monnickendam, Marken, Volendam and the cheese city of Edam. Visit the glorious past of the VOC cities of Hoorn and Enkhuizen and the Frisian Hanseatic city of Stavoren. Workum and Hindelopen are on the Eleven Towns Route and are also worth a visit.

With an eye to the weather and tides, we devise the most suitable route across the Wadden Sea and / or the IJsselmeer in consultation. Sailing on board the ships of Noordvaarder Zeilreizen is characterized by a sporty and adventurous character and there is plenty of room for your own input and wishes. All this ensures unique experiences and unforgettable experiences in a good atmosphere.
