We plan this sailing trip in the autumn holiday from Monday to Friday on board our comfortable sailing ship the Noordvaarder. A super fun holiday for parent & child. Do you also board with your family? It is an all-inclusive trip, sailing experience is not necessary and safety is paramount!
On Monday morning from 10:00 you board the ship and meet the crew and the other guests. During the morning, the mooring lines loosen and the sails are hoisted after the sailing explanation. You can actively take control of the ropes, navigate or steer yourself, but there is also plenty of time to enjoy the view over the Wadden Sea. The children can fully cooperate on deck while sailing, receive explanations about sailing, help steer and navigate and learn all sailor’s knots. They are accompanied by the skipper and sailor.
After a beautiful sailing trip over the Wadden Sea, we moor in the afternoon in the port of one of the Wadden Islands. There is still plenty of time to explore the island with a nice walk, by (cargo) bike or just nice with a bucket & shovel to the beach. Catching crabs & looking for starfish in the harbor with the children is also very popular. The next day there is still time to go to the dunes and the beach and then the sails are hoisted again. The sailing trip continues to the next island. The destinations depend on wind & tide, but we will go to Vlieland and Terschelling anyway. Or sailing to Ameland and / or Texel let’s depend on the elements. On Friday the ship will moor in Harlingen again and we say goodbye to each other after a fantastic week on the water. The sailing is well alternated with something fun on the shore so that the children will not get bored on board and become sluggish.
Outdoor air makes you hungry! During the sailing week, the ship’s cook will provide delicious meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner), taking the children into account. Drinks are available on board and are settled at the end of the sailing trip (coffee, tea, soft drinks, lemonade, beer and wine). Guests are appreciated to lend a helping hand in the kitchen during the trip.
The price for this fully arranged family sailing trip during the autumn holiday is 400.00 euros per person.For children up to 11 years of age, the price is 225 euros. The price includes food, duvet and towel set p.p.You can choose a 2- or a 4-person room. The beds are fully made up with duvet and bed linen.
